大猩猩科技將以SPAC於美國上市

以台北為研發基地的全球AI智慧影像領導廠商大猩猩科技近期已與美國上市公司Global SPAC Partners Co.達成商務合併協議,維持原公司名Gorilla Technology Group Inc.,計劃以GRRR股票代碼於美國納斯達克上市,在此協議中,大猩猩科技的估值至少為7億美元。此次的商務合併案已於美東時間12月22日上午一點三十七分於紐約正式宣布,並同時將資料送交美國證管會審查。

Gorilla Technology Group Inc. 旗下的兩個台灣子公司,台灣大猩猩科技(影像分析AI大數據)與台灣捷睿智能(IT、OT融合資安分析AI大數據)各有專業,以相同的百分百自主研發AI技術平台,開發出兩種完全不同領域的AI分析產品,充分互補,以全線產品共同進軍全球。

大猩猩科技成立於2001年,長期投入智慧影像分析、物聯網、資訊安全、與大數據領域,於全球提供商業、工業、智慧城市、政府機關之多元解決方案;大猩猩科技基於機器學習以及深度學習自行研發的智慧影像方案,可以用於數位影像內容辨識,並轉換為重要決策依據,尤其在健康照護、交通運輸、工廠製造、及零售服務提供了顯著的效益。

邊緣運算涵蓋AI、物聯網、大數據,除了提升商業運作彈性,也可以將各種設施及服務的相關數據匯整於管理平台,協助各產業實現數位轉型。根據國際研究機構IDC及5G電信運營商的預測,2025年將會有高達557億的連網設備,產生大量的數據,同時間,導入AI的設備比例將持續成長。IDC也提到,於2024年時,全球投入邊緣運算的金額將高達2500億美金,此將為大猩猩科技帶來高度正向的成長動能。

大猩猩科技董事長兼SBI集團(SBI Holdings 前身為軟銀集團的金融投資部) 執行官Tomoyuki Nii 表示,此時正是在納斯達克上市的絕佳時機,可以將大猩猩科技的AI產品推廣到亞洲以外的市場;大猩猩科技的AI方案已在日本獲得客戶肯定,未來具有極大的成長空間,也與日本軟銀集團於2021年9月21日正式公布合作夥伴關係;合併公司除了大猩猩科技創辦人及執行長寇世斌博士,及現任董事日本東京證券交易所一部上市之商用軟體公司Asteria Corporation創辧人及執行長Yoichiro Pina Hirano外,並同時透過具有國際產業背景的董事會成員積極拓展全球市場,包括即將上任的董事會執行主席,Global SPAC董事長Jay Chandan,董事會新成員Ruth Kelly,她是現任倫敦希斯洛機場(London Heathrow Airport) 董事,並曾擔任英國國會議員及交通部長,以及於美國金融業深厚經歷的Gregg Walker新任獨立董事。
